Amanda believes in the body’s ability to heal itself and utilizes her expertise to assist in this process. She combines that notion with her clinical education from the Soma Institute in order to provide her clients with a thorough, soothing, and effective massage. She enjoys focusing in the head and neck area, including sinus treatments, headaches, TMJ disorder, and specializes in Craniosacral therapy. She also offers manual lymphatic drainage.
Amber graduated from East West College in Portland, Oregon. Her unique style integrates training in several Western and Eastern modalities including Swedish, deep tissue and Trigger Point style massage, myofascial and connective tissue release, Shiatsu, Craniosacral Therapy, Reiki and Shamanic practices. She believes we all contain the innate capability to heal and uses an intuitive approach to create the ideal environment for your body to unwind. Antonia is a graduate from the Chicago School of Massage Therapy and is certified through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. She uses an integrative approach specializing in deep tissue, Swedish, pre-natal, and hot stone. In her work she pulls from polarity therapy, a practice that is used to assist balance within the bodies energy fields.
Brigitte has over 6 years of massage experience and specializes in The Wellbeing Method Massage, an innovative method based on Ayurveda, Ancient Oriental Medicine and modern discoveries of Neuroscience and Bioenergetics. This unique method includes a massage that balances the chakras and the meridian system, and TaiChi-Qigong for follow-up care. She loves to work with people who suffer from fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, chronic (lower back) pain, sciatica, migraines and headaches, insomnia, and who experience high levels of stress. This massage is designed for profound relaxation of body, mind and soul. Brigitte is a specialist in holistic health and wellbeing and an instructor of Neo Martial Arts, a unique combo of TaiChi-Qigong-Neo Yoga and Meditative Archery.
Cameron is a graduate of Cortiva Institute of Massage Therapy and has a foundational belief that movement is life. She combines intuition and technical skill to provide a touch that allows guests to release and let go. She brings a diverse skill set and has worked within athletic, rehabilitation, and relaxation settings. Cameron is passionate about helping guests feel physically and emotionally self-aware during massage and even after you leave the table.
Christina Rose was introduced to massage through her own healing after a car accident. She was amazed at the powerful support bodywork gave to her recovery and decided to attend Cortiva Institute of Massage. After over 5 years in practice, she is still passionate about massage and what it can offer. Rose’s approach is heavily influenced by the deep forearm flow style of Lomi Lomi massage, a Hawaiian bodywork modality, that incorporates beautifully into her naturally rhythmic therapeutic style. She also loves working with hot stones in service, appreciating their grounding influence in a treatment.
Christine has been offering massage since 2005. Her background as a massage therapy instructor & collaboration with physical therapists and chiropractors has given her a uniquely compassionate approach to clients’ needs. She values holding space, educating the client about their body, and careful listening to achieve the goals of each individual. She fuses clinically based, deep tissue, and myofascial techniques to both clam and relax. Adding stretching, movement, and kneading to provide a restorative, therapeutic treatment that aids in the body’s natural healing process and re-connect the person as a whole. Those who have benefited from her work are: pregnant women, athletes, chronic pain and migraine sufferers, and anyone seeking overall wellness of being.
Cindy is a tri skilled technician in massage, energy work and esthetics, from the island of Bali, Indonesia. Since 2005 she has been bringing her authentic Balinese treatment to the United States, practicing in San Francisco and Chicago. Developing her signature style of healing therapeutic treatment, she intuitively utilizes her natural gift of energy healing. Since 2010, Cindy has been practicing esthetics. Each treatment is customized towards the client in order to achieve better confidence and an understanding on a better daily skin regimen. Her philosophy for all her work is to let the art of healing in you and finding body, mind, and spirit in balance.
Erin has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2002. She understands that every person has unique challenges and preferences, and prides herself in being able to hone into the needs of each individual. Over the years, she has specialized in helping many people find relief from head, neck, and shoulder tension – specifically TMJ-related pain. Erin is also a mother, and empathizes with the physical and emotional tension women deal with during pregnancy. Regardless of a client’s needs, she enjoys creating a warm, relaxing environment in which to wind down into deep relaxation mode.
Gerri is a graduate from the Chicago School of Massage Therapy and has been working full time since 2005. She is a lead massage therapist at Allyu Spa and is skilled in deep tissue, Swedish, pre-natal, reflexology, and chakra balancing. Gerri’s style is a blend of therapeutic touch and relaxing bodywork customized for each client. Her chakra balancing treatment offers a combination of Reiki and Core Synchronism. Core Sync is similar to Cranial Sacral work and can be beneficial for relaxation and headache relief or prevention. Reiki can create balance and deep relaxation. Clients may expect to feel calm and refreshed after her chakra balancing session.
Jessica graduated from Cortiva institute in 2013. She believes massage and energy work can help unify and aid in healing the whole self. Using a combination of fluid motion, nurturing touch and symmetry, she creates a relaxed state in the body and mind while tending to each client’s individual needs. She applies a mixture deep tissue, myofascial techniques and trigger point therapy to release muscle tension. One of her favorite modalities is prenatal massage. She also uses the intuitive art of Reiki to move energy and balance the chakras.
Joseph is an alumnus of Cortiva Chicago School of Massage and Chicago School of Thai Massage. He has spent the last several years sharing his practice in medical clinics and spas in Chicago and Asia. Whether it’s through compression, soft glide, or the comfort of a sustained stretch, Joseph utilizes a fusion of Western and Eastern mindful practices. He prides himself on his ability to listen, move energy, soften stubborn muscles and promote healing through a careful balance of mind, body, movement, and breath.
Lana attended Harper College’s Medical Massage Therapy program and is Nationally Certified therapist. Although Lana has a wide ranging knowledge of bodywork modalities, she specializes in Lomi Lomi and Trigger Point Therapy.
Leah is a graduate of The Chicago School of Massage Therapy and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. Leah has experience working in medical, chiropractic and spa settings. She has studied Trigger Point Therapy extensively. She’s also studied Zero Balancing, a hands on modality that helps energy circulate more effectively through the body. Her study and practice of qigong and yoga inform her work. She enjoys drawing from these various modalities to create an individualized experience that will help each client to feel his or her best.
Lucy has been a massage therapist for over 14 years, specializing in hospital and oncology massage. She volunteered at Rush University Medical Center for 1.5 years. She focusses on sharing her knowledge with the client to help them better achieve the right self care in and in between each session. She believes that deep tissue work should not result in pain and can provide total relaxation with results. Her adaptive communication skills helps in her goal for the best care for her clients. She continues her education and learning so she can provide the best results for what the body needs in the moment. Lucy also provides service as an energy worker using her Quantum Touch to help clients relax for life. In her energy work she likes to facilitate her philosophy that the client in the one “doing.”
Mel is a graduate of Hired Hands University. She has spent the last several years working in different spas along the Chicagoland area. She is able to provide her clients with a therapeutic touch, getting into the muscles as needed, but also giving the client a deep sense of relaxation at the same time. Every clients’ bodies are different, therefore, she creates a special massage that is customized just for them. At Allyu she provides her clients with Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone and Pregnancy massage.
Moriah grew up in Uptown Chicago and is a graduate of Cortiva Institute of Massage. She carefully plans out the each massage in accordance with client needs and requests, personalizing the experience for every individual. Her goal is to provide a focused clinical and genuinely relaxing massage by incorporating Trigger Point Therapy and deep tissue for pain and tension relief.
Regina has been a licensed massage therapist for almost two decades. All of this experience taught heard that every clients is unique and should be approached with a fresh set of eyes and ears. Regina graduated from the Florida School of Massage, one of the oldest schools in the country, where she learned a variety of techniques. She is especially adept at giving specific work without incurring pain. She is also an active performing artist and especially loves working with other creative individuals.
Robby personalizes each treatment to the individual’s needs and strives to facilitate an opportunity for positive physical, mental, and emotional healing with each massage. His clinical training was through the Soma Institute in Chicago and has been supplemented with various Eastern and Western technique trainings, including Reiki. He finds his approach yields results for clients with tension headaches, sciatic pain, plantar fasciitis and postural issues. Robby is committed to sharing his knowledge and resources and often recommends stretches and corrective exercises to support clients in meeting their goals of well-being.
Roger is a graduate of the Chicago School of Massage Therapy. He specializes in therapeutic deep tissue and trigger point massage with the intention of relieving muscular pain and dysfunction. He enjoys working with clients who want to overcome on-going muscular pain and soreness in order to live happier, healthier lives. Roger has had great success helping clients who are dealing with pain, headaches, and postural dysfunction associated with office work and regular computer use.
Tina attended the Chicago School of Massage Therapy in 2006. She possesses a highly intuitive, mindful, and thorough approach to her work, and carefully listens to the body in order to effectively communicate with it. She is skilled and educated in deep tissue, sports massage, trigger point theory, and Swedish massage. She favors a variety of compression, myofascial, and vibration/oscillation techniques in her sessions, as to best facilitate a melt + release effect in stuck soft tissue, and assist in gentle structural shifts to the body’s alignment. She also respects the energetic element to bodywork, and believes total health is achieved through wellness in mind+body+spirit. She believes massage therapy can be a harmonious dance with the body and spirit, and encourages 90 and 120 minute sessions to allow more time and space to explore these concepts and techniques.
Virginia has been a massage therapist for over 6 years. Her massage style blends muscle-specific trigger point techniques with deep flowing Swedish, as well as Thai techniques. She loves working with clients to alleviate pain and bring relief to issues of chronic discomfort, specializing in neck and shoulder work. Aside from being a massage therapist, Virginia is also a veteran. She worked as a fitness instructor at the East Bank Club for 10 years, and is currently in nursing school.

Elizabeth K. has 10 years of experience as an esthetician and massage therapist. She is the lead esthetician at Allyu and has been with the spa since its opening in 2007. She takes a holistic approach to her work, customizing each massage and facial she gives to the client’s needs. Her calming presence radiates her love of natural beauty and wellness. Elizabeth is also known for her quick and proficient waxing treatments!
Holly has been an esthetician for 8 years and loves seeing results on her clients’ skin. She specializes in treating acne for clients of all ages, and enjoys working with her guests towards long term solutions for their skincare concerns. As a former acne sufferer, she understands the challenges this skin type can face, and has an interactive approach to her treatment plans. She is also an actress, a musician, and practices transcendental meditation daily.
Jenny has been practicing Esthetics since 2009, and has been part of the Allyu team since 2013. She strives to offer relaxing services that are also results-driven. She is known for her thorough extractions and exceptional waxing services as well. Education and knowledge are highly important to her as she evolves her craft, and she has pursued diverse studies including Reflexology and Chakra Balancing. Both of these services can be added to facial treatments to enhance the experience, or enjoyed on their own.
Kara graduated from Excel Beauty Academy in 2004. Since then, she has developed a talent for quick waxing, and specializes in relaxing nervous waxing clients. She is currently working on earning a Biology degree and loves learning about how the ingredients in skincare products react with skin on a molecular level. Her background in customer service gives her an in-depth understanding of all aspects of spa culture, from booking to services.
Page is a graduate of Tricoci University of Beauty Culture. She is known for her gentle touch and positive outlook. Her facial massage is heavily influenced by Ayurvedic and Lymphatic drainage techniques. Through each treatment she strives to give her client the results they are seeking, while promoting deep relaxation. She enjoys educating her guests about their skin, and how to maintain healthy skin holistically. Outside of Allyu, she expresses her creativity through makeup artistry and painting. She is a yoga enthusiast and enjoys adventure through hiking, camping and biking.
Rosemary has been devoted to her esthetics craft for over 15 years. With a passion and curiosity for understanding the relationship between skin and mind/body wellness, Rosemary displays diligence in providing thorough skin analysis & customized treatments, designed for immediate results, partnered with healthy skin longevity. Her gentle touch and eye for precision are provided in wax/threading services from Brazilians to expertly arched brows! Years of additional studies in Ayurveda, aromatherapy, herbalism, and Reiki lend itself to her practice. When she is out of the spa she enjoys working in the hive as a sustainable urban beekeeper, gardening, and swing dancing.
Maryna is a graduate of Botanic Nail School. She loves nail design, and won second place in the 2015 Illinois Association Of Cosmetology School Competition for nails. She enjoys experimenting with nail art, and sees her career as a creative opportunity. Her specialty is extended wear manicures, where her eye for detail and design truly shine.
Pei graduated from Roza Nail Technology School in early 2014. She initially joined the Allyu family as an intern, working with our team to develop and refine her skills as a licensed nail technician. Her natural talent was clear right away, and she quickly transitioned to a full-fledged member of our team of nail care professionals. While adept at a wide range of treatments, Pei is known for her amazing pedicures, which focus on perfecting her guests’ feet in the most relaxing way possible.
Rachel has been doing nails since April of 2013. She prides herself on offering clients a relaxing, comfortable experience in a top notch environment. Rachel is known for her attention to detail, making sure that each guest she sees walks away with picture perfect nails and polish. She truly enjoys interacting with her guests, assuring a service experience that is both thorough and enjoyable. Rachel is certified Level II Reflexology, and enjoys offering this treatment both in the nail room, and in private sessions.

Alex is Allyu’s Events Coordinator and is passionate about healing benefits that come from a supportive community. Having majored in architecture right here in Chicago, she hopes to draw from the arts, wellness, and culture which our own urban landscape is capable of in order to create spaces that command growth. When she is not at work, she is busy exploring new channels of information through books, culinary endeavors, and local expressive resources.
Dani joined the Allyu coordinator team in February of 2017 and serves now as their Membership Coordinator. She is honored to contribute to a workplace that promotes wellness of body, mind, and spirit. When not greeting guests at Allyu, Dani works as an actress, freelance writer/editor, and sporadic self-care blogger.
Elizabeth is Allyu’s Spa Manager, and has been active in the salon and spa industry for the past twenty years. She joined the Allyu team in 2009. Her free time is spent cooking spicy food, eating spicy food (way too much), and attempting to read anything and everything that she can. She is grateful to have found such a fabulous second family at Allyu, and truly enjoys interacting with our guests.
Kenzie joined the Allyu team after attending Columbia College Chicago for illustration. Allyu has been a place where she can expand on her passion for healing stones as well as overall wellness and spirituality. Her joy is to see clients leave with a big smile. Outside of Allyu, she practices her art around Chicago.
Kristin is the Hospitality Manager for Allyu Spa. She has been a dedicated member of the wellness industry for over ten years. Kristin believes that honesty, compassion, and empowerment create a stronger sense of self and community. She strives to give each guest a positive, welcoming, and lasting experience. Once told that hers was a “life of service,” she views her background in opera as an additional outlet to provide enrichment and joy to others.
Nina is a 16 year old Jardine’s Parrot. She loves children, to play peek-a-boo and to greet you in Allyu’s entrance. Nina divides her time between work and home and would love to say hello to you the next time you visit!
Shelbie joined the Allyu team shortly after graduation from Columbia College Chicago’s Creative Writing program in May 2014. Allyu has allowed her to combine and expand her love of health and wellness into writing, as well as become a member of a supportive community that shares art and ideas. Outside of Allyu, she has performed her fiction and non-fiction at various Chicago literary events and can be found in the audience of many others. Her work can be found in Hypertext Magazine.
Tamara is Allyu Spa’s owner. She worked as a massage therapist and operated The Art of Healing for ten years before expanding in 2007 to the newly created Allyu Spa in River North. Allyu is the embodiment of Tamara’s dream to provide diverse wellness services in a hand crafted and upscale location. She prides herself on providing an enriching work environment to her practitioner community in a relaxing and aesthetically unparalled place to receive services for guests.
