An Infrared Sauna utilizes infrared radiation (a wavelength
longer than that of visible light, but shorter than radio waves) to
penetrate and heat the body by transforming one form of energy into
another instead of heating the air. Infrared rays are able to penetrate
the body more deeply, thus heating within the muscle tissue and
internal organs and allowing for the release of fat-soluable toxins,
heavy metals and toxic chemicals such as mercury, lead, copper,
arsenic, nickel, among others. In addition to the release of these
substances, infrared saunas are reported to aid in immune system
enhancement, stress reduction, cardiovascular conditioning, muscular
pain and much more.
