Thorough, Soothing, Effective
Amanda believes in the body’s ability to heal itself and utilizes her expertise to assist in this process. Through listening to the body and thoughtful communication, she has a collaborative approach of reaching the specific goals of her clients. She combines that notion with her clinical education in order to provide a thorough, soothing, and effective massage. She enjoys focusing in the head and neck area, including sinus treatments, headaches, TMJ disorder, and specializes in craniosacral therapy. She also offers manual lymphatic drainage and enjoys providing Allyu’s Scalp Treatment.

Ariel believes deeply in the power of touch and understands its an essential part of a balanced self care routine. Her studies at the Soma Institute School of Massage Therapy taught her to thoroughly listen to her clients and devise a treatment specific to their needs. Her approach is to deliver a service that heals and calms both the body and mind. She combines Swedish, deep tissue and gentle joint mobilizations techniques to effectively soften tension. She enjoys focusing on the head, neck and shoulders to melt away headaches, relax shoulders and increase circulation.

Cadeashia has been in the spa industry for over 4 years. She is passionate about the maintenance of one’s self and believes that massage therapy contributes to a person’s overall well being for the mind, body, and spirit. She works to slowly engage with the body to assess what it needs, working to alleviate any tension or pain. Her style combines a mixture of Swedish and deep tissue techniques to provide a relaxing, yet effective massage. In addition to massage she enjoys providing body treatments such as the sugar body polish and body wraps. She understands that regular exfoliation of the skin and detoxification of the body can aid in both a healthier appearance and immune system. She is also an esthetician and nail technician.

Chris is a graduate of The Soma Institute of clinical massage therapy. He specializes in therapeutic massage with the intention of correcting postural deviations, as well as educating his clients to provide self care to progressively reach a point of living without pain. This can be accomplished through deep tissue massage, trigger point work, sports massage, stretching, myofascial work, and joint manipulation. While firm pressure is his strength, relaxation and comfort are still the ideal goal. Chris enjoys working with clients to resolve chronic pain, headaches, and plantar fasciitis, among other issues. By adjusting each massage to the individual client, he will provide a very specific massage for your needs.

Integrating, Unconventional, Intuitive
Cindy is a tri-skilled technician in massage, energy work, and esthetics from the island of Bali, Indonesia. Developing her signature style of therapeutic treatment, she utilizes Reiki and her natural gift of energy healing through our Chakra Balancing service, and extending that to her enjoyment of our body treatments, especially the Neem and Volcanic Clay Wrap. She combines Eastern and Western techniques with stretching and acupressure points, moving energy through the meridians. Cindy loves the challenge of working with those who experience chronic pain, specifically in the shoulders and neck, hips, and those who suffer from headaches and sciatica. Her philosophy for all her work is to let the art of healing in you and finding body, mind, and spirit in balance.

Relaxing, Intentional, Focused

Dorie is a graduate of The Soma Institute of Massage Therapy 2003. She specializes in therapeutic massage with the intent to balance the body. By adjusting to the client’s needs, Dorie has hands of intuition that will give you nurturing comfort while providing therapeutic techniques to give you the proper care your body needs. She has a knowledge of and passion for many different specialties, including myofascial release, trigger point therapy, Swedish massage, sports massage, acupressure, and stretching techniques.

Erin has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2002. She understands that every person has unique challenges and preferences, and prides herself in being able to hone into the needs of each individual. Over the years, she has specialized in helping many people find relief from head, neck, and shoulder tension and TMJ-related pain. Erin is also a mother, and empathizes with the physical and emotional tension women deal with during pregnancy. She also provides reflexology treatments. Regardless of a client’s needs, she enjoys creating a warm, relaxing environment in which to wind down into deep relaxation mode.

Methodical, Structured, Compassionate
Fran has been practicing massage and bodywork for 18 years. A graduate of the Chicago School of Massage Therapy she was exposed to Myofascial work early on. She believes in assessing for and working with postural distortions, things like forward head posture, rounded shoulders, scoliosis, hip rotations and sacral torsion amongst other postures that we acquire from living and moving throughout our days. She also can deliver a well balance relaxation massage with a variety on techniques including engaged flowing strokes, deep stretches and tension releases. Frances believes in the power of touch, necessity for manual therapy and the bodies innate wisdom in healing itself.  She is certified in Table Thai, Advance Myofascial, Swedish, Deep Fascial work, Body Mobilization and Prenatal. She continues to study and is enrolled in Structural Integration.

Smooth, Intentional, Clinical
Francoise was trained in clinical massage where she uses smooth and specific techniques to ease the mind and body. Plagued by headaches for years, Francoise enjoys relieving neck and shoulder tension and stress to reduce headaches in clients. She wants to create a safe and healing environment for each individual and aid them in their self care. Healing is the ultimate goal whether it is mind, body, or spirit. She enjoys using the scalp treatment add-on to aid in relaxation and stress relief for those who have neck and shoulder pain, body scrubs to aid in circulation, and hot stones to help penetrate the muscles deeper. She also enjoys using reflexology to aid in stress relief and deepen the effects of the massage.

Glynis has 26 years of experience in the salon and spa industry as a stylist, esthetician, and massage therapist. She truly believes that relaxation is the key to healing most aches and pains. Glynis specializes in working with guests who suffer from neck, shoulder, and back pains related to the postural misalignment that occurs with overuse of computers and cell phones. Body treatments, hot stone massage, swedish, cranial sacral, trigger point, and stress relief are just a few of her specialties.

Nurturing, Flowing, Firm
Jessica graduated from Cortiva institute in 2013. She believes massage and energy work can help unify and aid in healing the whole self. Using a combination of fluid motion, nurturing touch and symmetry, she creates a relaxed state in the body and mind while tending to each client’s individual needs. She applies a mixture deep tissue, myofascial techniques and trigger point therapy to release muscle tension. One of her favorite modalities is prenatal massage and particularly loves applying body treatments like the Infrared Detox Wrap. She also uses the intuitive art of Reiki to move energy and balance the chakras, using a combination of sounds, scents, and stones.

Kelly graduated from the Wellness and Massage Training Institute in 2001. She enjoys offering therapeutic, deep tissue, trigger point, and sports massage with a particular focus on reliving tension in the neck. Kelly also specializes in techniques to relive the pain of TMJ – as she has first hand knowledge of both the discomfort and techniques to alleviate it. Kelly can also incorporate Shiatzu techniques into her work to release deep tension without being invasive.

Kimberly began her path to bodywork in Reflexology, where she developed her initial skills and instincts. Since studying at Georgia Massage School she loves combining her intuitive approach with clinical knowledge to practice massage that is both relaxing and releasing, creating a safe space for healing. Using the rhythmic flow of soothing Swedish techniques and going deeper where needed with targeted trigger point therapy, Kimberly approaches massage from the unique needs of each client to help them along their wellness journey.

Lana attended Harper College’s Medical Massage Therapy program and is a Nationally Certified therapist. With her fluid motion and comforting style she aims to help her clients heal both physically and emotionally. She especially enjoys working with clients who are looking for a renewed connection and acceptance of their body. She also enjoys clients who are new to massage as she feels part of her gift is alleviating any apprehension or anxiety a person may be feeling about massage therapy. Although Lana has a wide ranging knowledge of bodywork modalities, she specializes in Lomi Lomi, Swedish Massage, and Trigger Point therapy.

Balanced, Restorative, Revitalizing
Leah is a graduate of The Chicago School of Massage Therapy and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. Leah has experience working in medical, chiropractic and spa settings. She has studied Trigger Point Therapy extensively. She’s also studied Zero Balancing, a hands-on modality that helps energy circulate more effectively through the body. Most recently, Leah has trained in reflexology, and knows that a broad range of issues can be quickly addressed with targeted pressure to the feet. Leah’s study and practice of qigong and yoga inform her work. She enjoys drawing from these various modalities to create an individualized experience that will help each client to feel his or her best.

Meditative, Flowing, Restorative
Morgen has been practicing massage therapy for over 8 years with experience in both clinical and spa settings. Believing that “not all knowledge is taught in one school,” he brings a diverse and multidisciplinary approach to his work, combining techniques and elements from various modalities including Swedish, Myofascial work, Thai Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, and traditional Hawaiian cultural medicine. His background as a certified yoga instructor in conjunction with his studies from Thailand allow him to provide effective unique treatments that integrate stretching, movement, and breathwork, with an emphasis on mindful bodily awareness and the release of muscular tension and mental stress. His goal is to create long term positive changes in the body, using a firm touch to “melt” tissue rather than trying to force through excessive pressure, which he believes is often counter-productive. His calming temperament, integrative technique, and passion for this work make him fit to perform anything from simple relaxation and stress reduction to general wellness to focused clinical treatments.

Focused, Specific, Relaxing
Moriah grew up in Uptown Chicago and is a graduate of Cortiva Institute of Massage. Her goal is to thoughtfully tailor each massage session in accordance with the guest’s needs and requests, personalizing the experience for every individual. She integrates a variety of modalities in the session, such as myofascial release, trigger point therapy, Swedish, deep tissue massage, and stretching to promote pain- and tension-relief and deep relaxation. She is also skilled in reflexology and prenatal massage, and enjoys hot stone massages and infrared body wraps.

Relaxing, Fluid, and Clinical
Nitza has been a Massage Therapist since 2009. Her background as a Massage Therapy instructor from The Soma Institute gives her a unique approach to combine clinical massage with a relaxing touch. She uses a variety of techniques including Swedish, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point, Stretches, and Lymphatic Drainage to customize a massage for any client. Although Nitza can have a clinical touch, her ultimate goal is relaxation. She does this by focusing on fluidity, transitions, and working layer by layer through the tissue and muscles. One of her favorite treatments to perform is pre-natal massage. She sympathizes with the emotional and physical changes that come with pregnancy and after delivery. Nitza hopes to have each guest leave with a sense of ease and relaxation.

Roger is a graduate of the Cortiva Chicago School of Massage Therapy. He specializes in therapeutic deep tissue and trigger point massage with the intention of relieving muscular pain and dysfunction. He enjoys working with clients who want to overcome on-going muscular pain and soreness in order to live happier, healthier lives. Roger has had great success helping clients who are dealing with chronic pain, headaches, and postural dysfunction associated with office work and regular computer use.  Roger also practices foot reflexology and body treatments, as well as having had advanced training in treating TMJ disorder, including intra-oral massage.

Virginia has been a massage therapist for over 6 years. Her massage style blends muscle-specific trigger point techniques with deep flowing, relaxing Swedish, as well as Thai techniques. She loves working with clients to alleviate pain and bring relief to issues of chronic discomfort, specializing in neck and shoulder work, plantar fasciitis, and sciatica. Aside from being a massage therapist, Virginia is also a veteran. She worked as a fitness instructor at the East Bank Club for 10 years, and is currently in nursing school.

Intuitive, Empowering, Nurturing
Vivian’s goal is to create a positive impact on her clients’ health and support them in their journey of wellness.  By utilizing 8+ years of experience in massage therapy, she strives to assist each guest in reaching their goals of pain management, increased range of motion, and relaxation.   She is skilled in Myofascial Release, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, and Sports Massage Therapy, and particularly fond of providing many of our body treatments.  She also specializes in oncology massage, and feels that massage is key in supporting the treatment process.  Vivian believes that massage doesn’t have to hurt to be effective.  By focusing on each guest’s sense of comfort and relaxation, she can help to achieve deep tissue results without pain or discomfort.


Cindy is a tri-skilled technician in massage, energy work and esthetics, from the island of Bali, Indonesia. Since 2005 she has been bringing her authentic Balinese treatment to the United States, practicing in San Francisco and Chicago. Developing her signature style of healing therapeutic treatment, she intuitively utilizes her natural gift of energy healing. Since 2010, Cindy has been practicing esthetics. Each treatment is customized towards the client in order to achieve better confidence and an understanding on a better daily skin regimen. Her philosophy for all her work is to let the art of healing in you and finding body, mind, and spirit in balance.

Colleen has always had a drive to help others feel better about themselves. By the age of 19 she was licensed in cosmetology and esthetics. Her goal with every guest is to give a results driven treatment and to create an experience that focuses on overall wellness, providing the reset we all need from the stressors of life. She believes in the importance of skin education, at home maintenance, and self care. Aside from working at Allyu, Colleen runs her own wellness company, enjoys traveling to exotic places, spending time in nature, and seeing family.

Sara is a graduate of Tricoci University of Beauty Culture.  She is known for her gentle touch and positive outlook.  Her facial massage is heavily influenced by Ayurvedic and Lymphatic drainage techniques.  Through each treatment she strives to give her client the results they are seeking, while promoting deep relaxation.  She enjoys educating her guests about their skin, and how to maintain healthy skin holistically.  Outside of Allyu, she expresses her creativity through makeup artistry and painting. She is a yoga enthusiast and enjoys adventure through hiking, camping and biking

Tiara has worked in the beauty industry for 10 years focusing on a wide array of services from hair care, skincare, body waxing, and body treatments. After experiencing hormonal acne in her early 30’s she decided to focus solely on skincare. With over 2,000 hours of training at the Skin Institute of St. Louis, she moved to Los Angeles to further broaden her skills and to understand the most natural and effective skin treatments. She is trained in holistic methods and a variety of peels and enzymes. She believes that skincare does not have to be complicated, but consistent. She strives to give guest beautiful life changing results and relaxation.

Pei graduated from Roza Nail Technology School in early 2014.  She initially joined the Allyu family as an intern, working with our team to develop and refine her skills as a licensed nail technician.  Her natural talent was clear right away, and she quickly transitioned to become our team lead.  While adept at a wide range of treatments, Pei is known for her amazing pedicures, which focus on perfecting her guests’ feet in the most relaxing way possible.

Seher graduated from Steven Papa George Cosmetology school. She is dedicated to her craft and of manicures and pedicures. She has over 20 years of providing the highest level of service to clients with a focus on delivering excellent service and relaxation. Seher’s kind and easy going demeanor help guests to feel right at home at Allyu Spa.


Ariana is the Associate Manager for Allyu. She joined the Allyu team in 2016, but has worked in customer service and hospitality for over 10 years. In addition to being the associate manager, Ariana is also Allyu’s Donation and Social Media Coordinator. Often referred to as a social butterfly, Ari really enjoys interacting with our clients and prides herself in creating a welcoming, relaxing and memorable experience.

Catnip is our Events Coordinator. They joined the Allyu Spa team after receiving their Bachelor’s of Music in Vocal Performance at Roosevelt University. They enjoy arriving at work and seeing happy, relaxed clients having a wonderful time. They are interested in spreading kindness and warmth and loves how the Allyu environment enriches those around them with those qualities. At home, Catnip spends their time watching an excessive amount of stand-up comedy, petting their best friend Annie the Banana Cat, and aspiring to finally start that punk band.

Kaitlyn is our newest coordinator and is very proud to be a part of the Allyu community.  Kaitlyn studied Psychology at Ithaca College in New York and moved to Chicago after graduating. She has worked in mental health settings and is passionate about helping people. A recently certified yoga instructor, you can find her outside of the spa both teaching and practicing. Kaitlyn strives to help clients feel at ease and is committed to ensuring they have a seamless, stress-free experience. Kaitlyn loves to answer questions and engage with clients. She relates to the Allyu mission that “the best journey is the one back to self” and strives to embody that as well as assist others in their quests for strength of body and peace of mind.

Kristin is the Manager for Allyu Spa. She has been a part of the Allyu community for 9 years and a dedicated member of the wellness industry for 20 years. Kristin believes that honesty, compassion, and empowerment create a stronger sense of self and community. She strives to give each guest and team member a positive, welcoming, and lasting experience. Once told that hers was a “life of service,” she views her background in the arts as an additional outlet to provide enrichment and joy to others. If ever you need anything, ask for Kristin and she will be happy to assist.

Lissette joined the Allyu community in 2019 while searching for a calm and collective environment. She has an interest and knowledge of skincare and nail art. Outside of work she is in school for medicine which is a little different but in the same spectrum of helping others. And always she is still searching for the perfect shade of lavender.

Nina is a 16 year old  Jardine’s  Parrot.  She loves children, to play peek-a-boo and to greet you in Allyu’s entrance.  Nina divides her time between work and home and would love to say hello to you the next time you visit!

Tamara is Allyu Spa’s owner.  She worked as a massage therapist and operated The Art of Healing for ten years before expanding in 2007 to the newly created Allyu Spa in River North.  Allyu is the embodiment of Tamara’s dream to provide diverse wellness services in a hand crafted and upscale location.  She prides herself on providing an enriching work environment to her practitioner community in a relaxing and aesthetically unparalleled place to receive services for guests.  Tamara looks forward to introducing you to her lovingly created spa.

Tyler  is the Assistant Manger, Skincare Retail Lead and Membership Coordinator. They started at Allyu after graduating from Columbia College Chicago with a degree in Business & Entrepreneurship. They love that they’re able to work so closely with skincare items, as skin health is a big passion of theirs. They enjoy learning about all the products Allyu offers, and trying them out so they can give recommendations. When not at work Ty enjoys exploring the city, hanging out with friends, and painting/drawing.
